Summary

Enfanos is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bioanalytical Technician to support bioanalytical testing, quality control, manufacturing, and general laboratory operations. As a quickly growing biotechnology company, our team members work across multiple areas of the organization, and responsibilities may vary based on current laboratory, manufacturing, and operational needs.

The Bioanalytical Technician will perform routine preparation and analysis of biological samples using established laboratory procedures, process and calculate analytical results using predefined methods, maintain accurate laboratory records, and assist with preparation of formal test reports. The position will also involve operation of analytical equipment, including HPLC/UPLC, mass spectrometry, and fluorometry systems, under appropriate supervision.

In addition to analytical laboratory work, the Bioanalytical Technician will assist with manufacturing and operational activities. These activities may include preparation of buffers and other reagents, semi-automated vial filling, capping, and labeling, packaging products for customer orders, maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting with equipment calibration activities.​

The ideal candidate has strong wet-laboratory skills, excellent attention to detail, and the flexibility to contribute to a diverse range of scientific, manufacturing, and operational activities. Candidates must be able to work independently on assigned tasks, consistently follow written procedures, maintain complete and accurate records, perform quantitative calculations, and collaborate effectively as part of a small team.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Follow standard operating procedures and other written procedures for preparation and analysis of biological samples, including enzyme activity assays, biomarker extraction, protein assays, and related bioanalytical procedures;

  • Accurately prepare solutions, buffers, standards, and other laboratory reagents using established formulations, appropriate labeling requirements, and good laboratory practices;

  • Operate analytical laboratory equipment under appropriate supervision, including HPLC/UPLC, mass spectrometers, fluorimeters, and other laboratory instrumentation;

  • Review, process, calculate, and manage analytical data according to predefined methods and procedures, and prepare written summaries or reports of test results for review;

  • Maintain complete, accurate, and contemporaneous laboratory records in accordance with Company procedures and applicable good documentation practices;

  • Assist with quality control testing and manufacturing activities, including buffer and reagent preparation and semi-automated filling, capping, and labeling of product vials;

  • Assist with routine equipment maintenance, performance checks, calibrations, and associated documentation according to established procedures;

  • Support general laboratory and operational activities as needed, including organization of laboratory and manufacturing materials and packaging and preparation of customer orders for shipment;

  • Participate in weekly team meetings to provide work updates, coordinate priorities, discuss results and ongoing activities, and participate in Company journal club and scientific discussions;

  • Work within the Company's Quality Management System and collaborate with team members across laboratory, manufacturing, quality, and operational activities as needed in a small biotechnology company.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biology or chemistry with at least 3 years’ experience with wet lab techniques; or, Master's degree in biology or chemistry with at least 1 additional year experience in a wet lab;

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities;

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software for data processing and calculations;

  • Ability to maintain complete and accurate laboratory and manufacturing records;

  • Strong data processing and data management experience;

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills;

  • Willingness and ability to contribute to a diverse range of laboratory, manufacturing, and operational activities based on Company needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HPLC/UPLC and mass spectrometry;

  • Experience working in a regulatory setting (GLP/GMP/GCP).

Benefits for this position include a monthly health insurance stipend.

The hiring pay range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role.
